2025 2024 Alabama Association of USA Track and Field Annual Meeting

Invitation to the 2024 Alabama Association of USA Track and Field Annual Meeting,

2025 Alabama Association of USATF Annual Meeting
Sunday, September 28, 2025
1:00-2:30 PM

 

The meeting will be conducted by Zoom. The meeting room will open at 12:30 to allow members to start signing in and verification of their eligibility to vote.

The offices up for election this is year are:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Membership Chair
Member at Large (1 position)
USATF Approved Coach (1 poistion)
Actively Engaged Athlete (3 positions)

Anyone running for office must be Safe Sport 3-step compliant. This is a current USATF Membership, a current Background check and current Safe Sport training.

In addition, to run for one of the Athlete positions you must meet one of the the current conditions in the USATF definition for an Actively Engaged athlete:

Actively Engaged Athlete means an athlete who qualifies as a Ten Year or Ten Year+ Athlete, as defined below, or who has been actively engaged in twenty-four (24) months prior to election/selection in a USATF-sanctioned competition, which may include events that categorize entrants in age-restricted classifications.

Ten Year Athlete means an athlete who has represented the United States in the Olympic Games, the Pan American Games, World Championships, or another event designated by the USOPC (together, with the USOPC’s Athletes Advisory Council) and USATF (together, with USATF’s Athletes Advisory Committee) as an elite-level event for purposes of this definition, within the previous ten (10) years.

Ten Year+ Athlete means an athlete who has represented the United States in the Olympic Games, the Pan American Games, World Championships, or another event designated by the USOPC (together, with the USOPC’s Athletes Advisory Council) and USATF (together, with USATF’s Athletes Advisory Committee) as an elite-level event for purposes of this definition, but not within the previous ten (10) years.

Also, send a one-page Sports Resume to Jerry McCoy at mcbuzu2017@gmail.com.

Nominations will be accepted from the floor. It will expedite the election process if you are even considering running to complete the Nomination form above and submit you sports resume to the Election Commitee chair.

You must be a current member of the Alabama Association of USATF to vote at the meeting.

The meeting will start at 1:00. However, the Zoom will open at 12:30 to allow the Membership Chair to verify your eligibility to vote.
